About ME:
An ENG/EFP Cinematographer with an unending fervor to develop and master my craft.  From the very beginning of my career I have sought to learn everything about the moving digital image.  From producing to production and postproduction, my experience covers it all.  Thriving best in live situations, I am proven in tight deadlines and “must get done situations.”  The core of my competency is versatility.
I am currently working exclusively on a freelance basis with companies ranging from Boston to New York working with corporate clients, marketing agencies and regional live sports and news broadcasts for major network television.  I am looking for the next project that marries my versatility as a producer/video photographer/editor with the ability to manage media across all platforms and delver content on time, every time.
Here are samples of my work.

WADZ-TV
This project has been a long time in the works.  Conceptualized as a way to expand Boston’s thriving local music scene into the digital world, the stripped-down and raw setting captures both the energy of live performance with the audio quality of studio recordings.

The do-it-yourself approach to this production required shared resourcefulness, ingenuity and collaborative creativity among a group of talented musicians, visual artists and audio and video guru’s.  Shootting almost entirely with DSLR cameras gives WADZ-TV the gritty and dim look that characterizes Boston’s underground music scene.

I was involved in both the production and post-production of our first release, given credit for both videographer and editor on two of the three episodes.  The approach to this project has been a refreshing creative outlet from the standard broadcast productions and a true testament to the democratization of digital video content.

We will be taking a much needed break to planning the follow up to WADZ-TV debut, expect something early 2013.

Consulting for Weber Shandwick with this ad campaign I edited this behind the scenes video to support the featured videos on this site.  Shot with REDONE, Phantom and Canon 1DX, there were plenty of beautiful images to cut with and I enjoyed putting this piece together.

Charles River Canoe and Kayak Company

This video is one of a series produced by Interlock Media for the Charles River Canoe and Kayak Company to promote their recreational water sports rentals in the Boston area.  The project became affectionately known as the acronym CRCK for short.  Shot at their Brighton location, the video highlights the activities and beautiful scenery of the Charles river basin.

It’s not hard to imagine the difficulty of shooting on the water, especially in small canoes and kayaks.  This was a great opportunity to use a combination of small water proof GoPro cameras and small profile DSLR cameras to get the footage we needed.  This project was great fun to work on both as a shooter and helping to produce along the way, which included kayaking and tanning.  Several more videos are to be released  soon highlighting their other rental locations.

Working with StarChefs.com again has given me the opportunity to combine my work with another of my passions in life, the culinary arts.  I was extremely excited to shoot with Ken Oringer in his award winning restaurant, Clio in Boston’s Back Bay.

In this two-camera shoot I did all the hand held shooting and b-roll shots.  Some of the challenges of shooting in a working kitchen are the limited space, noise and the limited lighting options but we were able to make it all work.  In this video, both the chef and the Hobart mixer are the stars giving a fresh take on a classic dish.  Yes, I did get to try the Gazpacho and it was amazing.
